Database Objectives The need for the PM industry to better inform its customers and potential customers about the capabilities of its materials has been recognized for many years. Now thanks to the efforts of the three major international trade associations this dream has become a reality. By using Web-based technology and thanks to a major effort of international coordination between technical experts from all over the world this database is ready for use. The outputs from the database are available to designers and other users who have an interest in the special and unique properties of Powder Metallurgy. It is intended that the scope and size of this database will increase over time with information on a wider range of PM materials and processing conditions.
